Tool Engraving
Tools are a prime target for thieves either out of houses or trade vehicles. Working with the Police we engrave the tools of the trades people and home handyman with the owners’ driver licence number. This is done in association with the Safer Plates or at Tradies Breakfasts hosted by major Hardware retailers.

Patrols are always conducted with a minimum of two patrol members per vehicle. The modern branded SUV patrol vehicles are equipped with roof mounted emergency lights. The Community Patrol members assist with Police and Emergency Services, promoting public events such as Local Heroes, neighbourhood welfare checks and Community Hubs. This can be anything from handing out flyers to taking photos of kids with officers in a Police car.

While out in the community, our Patrollers are not only surveying the streets, but reserves, carparks and bush areas for cars that look suspicious; broken windows; doors left open or oddly parked. Using a Police resource list vehicle number plates are checked to see if they are reported as stolen.

Our Patrol vehicles can be out on the roads all hours of the day, so the likelihood of the Patrollers coming across a vehicle accident or breakdown is quite high. Our vehicles are equipped with the necessary emergency equipment including an extensive first aid kit, flashing emergency lights and cones.

Our Patrollers receive First Aid training, attend training sessions throughout the year lead by the Police, CPNZ and Fire & Emergency. Safety of our own Patrollers is paramount to us and ongoing training is vital

Working with the Police, Search & Rescue and family members our Patrollers will search dedicated residential and urban grids for missing person, young & old as directed by the Search Coordinators.

Council & community lead events, such as Christmas Parades & Festivals, Community Halloween events, Snow In The Park, Spooks and Sparks Displays etc. are attended and supported by the Community Patrollers.

Over 600 number plates each year in West Auckland are stolen and used in a variety of criminal activities. The Safer Plates program with the Police & Neighbourhood Support of installing Tamper Proof screws is a positive step to reducing this crime.
